Skystar HD2 no picture?
I'm using a Skystar HD2 with DVB Dream and would like to view both HD and 4:2:2 pictures. The video codec is Elecard 3.x (v7.5.0.65 - 02/04/2008), audio codec Elecard LII (v7.4.0.65 - 02/04/2008), Video renderer is Overlay Video Renderer. The 4:2:2 pictures are fine but the first HD channel I have tried to watch (BBC HD on 28E) has sound but no pictures. Can anyone advise on a suitable set up to view both HD and 4:2:2?

I downloaded the coreavc codec and I now have pictures in HD, although the picture breaks every few seconds - I see from your thread that you had the same problem. Also, I use 2 monitors but when I have the viewer on HD it slows the PC down big time. BothyBhoy

I can watch BBC HD but if I want to watch a 4:2:2 channel I have to change the codec settings. Does anyone know if is possible to watch 4:2:2 HD feeds with the SS HD2, and if so what codecs should I be using?

you might want to try windows 7 if your graphics card supports h264 dxva, w7 invokes it so processing is via gpu rather than cpu.... try coreavc works great for me
