currentley have 1 VM cable box and wanted to add a further 4 throughout the house, would the best way to do this be run a sat cable from each new point back to the original box and use a splitter / splitters? can i run 5 boxes from the one cable coming in or do i need some sort of amp.

I'm sure you can use 5 way spliter with no problems, there was a guy on here running 6 boxes using a spliter from one VM point, the only thing is if you need to update any of the boxes you will need to connected dirrect to the original VM cable.
