Default Chip/unlock Virgin Media/NTL Cable box

Hello,

I wanted to know, how to unlock/chip Virgin Media/NTL boxes. WHat equpment ans software would i need? How do i do it?

Would be greatful if someone helps me out.

First bit of advise is do not mess around with the equipment you are renting off the cable company.

Its the Samsung SMT-2100C box.

I purchased this fomr someone, so im not renting it. The one i am renting, i am not going to touch/mess around with.

what do you mean read the stickys above?

With that particular box there are 2 methods of retreiving the BK & IRD but you would need specialist equipment.

1 : If you have a paired card you need and Unlooper to retrieve BK & IRD

2 : Without a paired card you would need to JTAG the motherboard to retrieve the BK & IRD.

JTAG POINTS

Once you have the BK & IRD you would need to write yourself a card either by using a funcard or the original MOSC card supplied.

In this forum you will find all the answers you are looking for that’s been covered in other threads all you have to do is put unlooper in the search and the click the button; you will know everything there is to know about it, do the same for IRD & BK m8.ffice
