I had this problem before most likely the solder joins. Just re-heat them just in case u have dry joins. Also make sure no legs r joining also all joins are fully connecting. Dont apply too much heat as u could lift pads. Are your pads ok?

Dot or mark should be inline with the small resistor. Did u go over the joins with the soldering iron so there no dry joins? U will get there dnt worry bout it.

error 40 = chip not right.
desolve the access flux off with meths ect, make sure no dry joints like prev posts.

apparently the funcards do work although i have had zero success with them myself.
have you flicked thru the pages in eng menu putting in the card and leaving in for 10-20 secs every time?
