default pin code on dbox2

hi guys.need a bit of help if poss.i cant seem to remember my pin code for my dbox 2.is there a default pincode for these boxes so i can enter into the dbox box menu and perform a scan or shall i hit it with a hammer and hope it lets me in?plz help....

Hi,

There are 2 methods to find the pincode on a dbox2

either ftp into var/tuxbox/config and view neutrino.conf, look for parentallock_pincode=####

the #### is the pincode.

If you want you can do it from the dbox
Choose Tuxbox Commander
var ok
tuxbox ok
config ok
scroll down to neutrino.conf ok
then scroll down to the line, it is in alphabetical order.

You could just try 0000 first, as that's normally the default PIN.
