Reasonably well means that if it rains a bit harder than usual, you could lose a few channels or transponders. i.e less rain fade margin.

The reason I say on a minidish to focus on 19.2E is because it is weaker, and easy way to get an offset lnb onto a sky dish is to clamp a bracket to the existing focal LNB.

With proper dishes however that have multibrackets for them, it is usally possible to focus somewhere in between if needed, but for 19E, I would still bias it that way a bit, as its the weaker satellite of the two.

And

You can't get the virgin feed into the satellite cable, they are two totally separate systems and as far as I know can't share a feed cable. Just plug the two boxes via scart or whatever into your tv

Hi everyone,This is my first post, however I had to write as soon as I saw the title of the post and read some of the advice given. I live in South Cumbria, in an area well-known for rubbish weather (e.g. heavy rain, high wind etc) and awful tv reception. Two years ago I bought a satellite dish from Ebay, (it was originally Aldi dish). Cost of system= £15.70, and the receiver at a guess is a Comag! Shame I can't post a pic or link

I've had it outside for two years, in all weathers and it always gets a brilliant reception from Astra 19E.I have seen loads of these dishes knocking about on ebay. It was an absolute doddle to set up, has a SMALL dish size (approx 40cm) and I can receive Kika, and hundreds of German channels on Astra 19, as well hundreds of channels from other satellites such as Sirius 5E, Hotbird 13E, Turksat 42E.

If you are a complete newbie to the satellite world, you will find that this is easy to set up, can easily be plonked on shed rooves, wooden boxes, scaffold poles etc, and is easy to move about. Basically, I tuned it into 19E by standing on a ladder with the tv turned up loadly...took approx 5 mins to tune perfectly. After a year plonked on top of the shed with a brick to stop it from moving, I drilled a couple of holes in the wall and stuck it up...You don't need an engineer or installer, anyone could get this system set up!

Where does a free air box come into it? I was told that was all I would need to get German TV.

Free To Air digital satellite receiver. You also need a dish pointing the right way of course.
