Bloody heck. I cant believe these are going for more than the royal mint say that they will give if the coin is returned. There must be a lot of eager coin collectors out there

Just to clarify (as i understood it); it's the London Mint who were offering £50 / coin.
The London Mint is merely a bank or collectors shop or something in London with a clever name; it has nothing to do with the Royal Mint who actually produced the coin.
I believe a lot of people had the same misconception and have greatly under valued their coins based on this companies willingness to hand over a £50 note.

Please correct me if I heard wrong.
