PS3 not playing disk's

they will load but you have to push them in a little further than normal for the mechanism to kick in and grab the disk I think its down to this little sensor that detects the disk when inserted SONY PS3 BLU-RAY OPTICAL DRIVE SENSOR, 20 40 60 80GB - eBay (item 150356733586 end time Aug-02-09 16:14:18 PDT)

yeah I got the blu ray lasor from a friend for free but I think he paid about €70 for his one, I will keep you posted and let you know if the new sensor did the trick

just in case anyone wants to know I got that sensor today I put it in and it fix'ed the problem the ps3 is working 100% again

I thought sony fixed this for free even out of warranty?

Apparently not any more, they told my frien it was out of warranty

hi... ive got problem with my ps3 wich apparently is my 2nd one ,the first wouldnt load the games but dvd's & ps2 games it would, phnd sony thy replaced it, now 10 months l8r i am getting the same problem but the game does load after ive ejected it a few times and put it back in, but thats exactly what i was doing to the last one but thn it just wouldnt load at all.
i dont think sony would replace this one and that continuosplay scheme has been stopped so i dont know what to do

any suggestions plz?? !!

just buy one from argos and take what you need off it then take it back thats what i will do if mine goes up the chuff

lol i do that when my xbox 360 gets 3 red lights go to comet buy a new console and swap the insides over, so i get a nice new one
