Default signal problem

hi guys got a problem with my signal, a couple of months ago i started loosing channels/some chirping and the like. tried everything and the only thing that seems to work is remove all splitters from line and have it direct. it`s not the box`s tuner as i have 2 more, they were all running great till i had my broadband lowered 2 basic speed and tv package basic, could this be anything to do with it? if so would you advise putting it back up to 10meg for signal issues. thanks
