Internet tetherable phones

Hey, my mate has got the iphone with internet tethering and its great and so simple to set up. What other cheaper smart phones can you recommend that have this capability and are simple to set up? many thanks

To be honest mate, any phone out now with a 3g / edge connection will do the job perfectly well, i'd look at getting a blackberry look on eBay perhaps or just around generally?

Obviously you need the data cable to connect the device to the pc / laptop / mac and the relevant software that works with the phone, for example nokia software centre or the blackberry specialist software that comes in the phone in the box.

Hope this helps, blackberry is the best for the job in my eyes!

However sometimes mobile broadband will be much cheaper, more reliable and 100% faster haha!

My iphone is fantastic for this - to the extent where when my net went down on upc on friday night my connection on the o2 ie network was faster lol

I agree with BlueBloodInDublin i also use an iphone and there the dogs b0llocks , but there not to everyones taste or budget , The best way to achieve mobile broadband ALMOST FREE is to as follows:

1. Get a unlocked mobile broadband dongle or a O2 dongle
2. Pop down to you local O2 store and purchase a iphone PAYG sim card , When activated it gives you 12mths FREE Unlimited internet usage.

So for the price of the dongle and a £10 sim card ( mine came from O2 store and got £10 free credit ) You got a years FREE internet
