Ok, well that could be the problem then, as the blue ones were working in many receivers, however it is a bit early for code to have been written so that the new white cards can work.

Robbo's about spot on plus I've also read elsewhere that if you do get these new cards working in your boxes be carefull because they'll start to burn the chip on the card, apparently due to different voltage or something like that running through the chip.
Right better go back to where i belongDon't want to outstay my welcome

Don't know if I misunderstood, but the way I read was because Sky boxes (even the PVRs) only decode one channel at a time (during playback) so don't put excess load on the card. Card readers designed to allow multiple simultaneous decodes make the card work harder. Just my interpretation of what I read though.

i think you might have somthing there as i put it in the other way to see if i was putting it in the right way and noticed above the chip it was starting to bubble slightly as though it was too hot

I'm no expert m8 but nvingo is close to it,I red this of another forum
Apparently techno's,dreambox etc read at 5 volts and the new card is designed to be run at 3.3volts therefore causing the burnout or something along those lines.
Sure someone can confirm this.I guess a new firmware is needed to overcome this prob.
Thats the gist of it anyway.
