i've recently bought a dvi to hdmi lead so i can plug my pc into my tv,can connect it no problem but the resolution is blurred in all the resolutions i've tried,i'm using a geforce 8400gs 256mb graphic card,any help will be greatly appreciated

make sure you have the native resolution set for your tv so that is 1920x1080, Make sure overscan is off on your graphics settings on the pc. After that there may be a sharpness setting on your tv, mine is a sharp so can't comment on yours but i believe it alters the timing ever so slightly and it can be hard to see a difference, the best way to tell is have a full screen of text and if the timing is out some areas will look sharp while others look ghosted

Yeah, don't assume it's your PC - try looking in the manual for the natice panel settings, and make sure the TV is set to NOT pan, stretch or alter the picture at all.
The desktop can be blurry, but the picture quality can still be as good as if it's not blurry, if you know what I mean. Some of the packages, like MCE/VMC/7MC can use a different resolution for the desktop and full screen video. |
