From last few days my hard disk is giving strange noises. Does this mean that it can crash at anytime or is it normal? Its a 20 gb segate Hard drive and I bought it in 2002.

Are you sure the noise is from the harddisk...and if you are get it checked...i think its time for a new one then!

Well, i have the same noises too but i dont think it can be anythign bad, but if it is well, all my work is on my hard disk, i need a back up!!!

Well, maybe it's because it's not correctly hold inside the CPu. Check it.

some times i hear from my hard disk when it is running hard and system is too busy but sometimes no busy also i hear
and i never had a problem with my system
try to restart system and close all running programs and then wait for few mins and see if it happens then consult a hardware repairer

My computer is always very noisy and has never crashed. I sure wish it wold shut up! :P
