Technomate TM-3150D USB PVR

Hi,

I've recently purchased a Technomate TM-3150D USB PVR and it all seemed to work fine until I updated the firmware to version 2.00 (08 JULY 2009) from the technomate website.

Since updating the firmware the 'PROVIDER LIST' keeps popping up on the screen and the usb port switches my usb drive on when the TM-3150D is in standby and switches it off when the TM-3150D comes out of standby, which prevents me from recording anything, as it states there is no usb drive attached.

Is anyone able to advise on this and also provide me with the original firmware that came with my TM-3150D?

I've tried emailing technomate but my emails keep getting bounced back.

I have just tested the email at technomate.com and it hasn't been bounced back yet, I used the info @ technomate.com email address, provided on the contact address.
You can also find older software, for your model, on their site.
Did you load the correct software? Your model is linked to the TM 3500D:

The link you're stated is the same link I used to download the version 2.00 firmware, so it is the correct firmware that I've used.

I did hope that the latest firmware would improve the functionality of the 3150D not make it worse.

You can try returning to the 1.1.3 software, from the 9/02/09, or wait for a reply from technomate.
It might be something as simple as having to carry out a factory reset or other step, after loading the new firmware.
It doesn't say that the software is beta, so I assume they must have tested it thoroughly, before releasing it.

The technomate email address appears to have worked now, no bounce back yet, must have been a problem with my email account or something.

I've tried downloading the 1.1.3 software but unfortunately every time I click on it, it says:-
Not Found

The requested URL /download/Magicpatch-3150_3500D_15-01-09_182 09-Feb-09.zip was not found on this server.


Hopefully technomate will get back to me soon with a fix.


I wish I never updated the firmware now, I should have just left it alone as it was working fine.

Hear, there's something funny going on there, it says Magicpatch, LOL


You can get a later Magicpatch from here:-

which is earlier than the July official that you have, it might work. But warning it is not official firmware as it's been modified.


Maybe it's worth ringing technomate otherwise, there's a number on their site.

After some late nights over the weekend, I have finally managed to get this sorted, well kind of.

I found some firmware posted in another forum dated 05-03-09, the usb port now appears to stay on all the time even when in standby mode, which is not a major problem as I'm using a usb flash drive.

The problem was definitely a software fault, as I have tried the newer firmware again and had the same problems. I have now reverted back to the 05-03-09 firmware.
