if i use a modem i have just put haxor on and go to surf online no problem .but if i connect to my router to modem no internet until i go in to the routers config and change to get ip reather than go through router ip
so if you have trouble with your router try to set the router to get ip from modem
if i use my subbed modem i can use my router with routers own ip its werid but it seems to work this, way im new to doing modems and all i have done for mates work this way with there routers as well

No worries m8 if I where you I would keep an eye on the ddwrt board and see if they add compatability for your router. I had al sorts of problems with the stock firmware of mine dropping connections and just generally being unreliable since I changed to DDWRT it been faultless
