Hi Guys

i have just purchased a eurovox ex1000 should be delivered early next week, im looking to just unplug my vbox and replace it with the eurovox. i currently have no viewing issues with virgin so im guessing the signal should be ok for the eurovox. am i correct in thinking this? people are talking about signal boosters is it worth buying oue just incase. anyone know what a good signal strengh is through virgin so i can check? im new to all this so sorry if this is a stupid question.

if you are having no problems with your v+ box then its more than likely you will have none with the ex1000
save your money only buy a booster if you have problems also the latest firmware for the ex1000 has a signal booster option built in

Yes, they would be able to know its not plugged in, whether it matters or not or if they even check is debatable, most people feel safer keeping their subbed Vbox plugged in too, peace of mind. Besides, the Vbox is handy to switch over to for the Interactive, BBCi, Catch up TV stuff and all that, which the Eurovoxes cant do.

basically you need a splitter and 2 lengths of cable plus connectors
cable feed to splitter and one cable to v+ other to ex1000

I have contacted VM many times about my broadband and whilst on the phone they have not mentioned that my box is not connected, but i do suppose the interactive capabilities of the vbox do come in handy
