Hi

A friends asked me to do his wii, just a couple of questions his version is 2.0u can that be softmodded with the zelda and sdcard method and do you leave the sd card in slot once modded or can it be took out and reused elsewhere.

Ive done a 3.2 version using zelda method before for me sisters wii and have left sdcard in never took it out after just in case, but dont know if version 2.0u can be done using same method. Need to read up a bit on the method anyway as Ive forgot.

Is there better method come out cos the above method took me a while to sort out.

no zelda needed and it will do update version 4e/u/j

Thanks for that just been looking into it a bit, ordered an sdcard so will try this once it arrives. Dont want to mess it up as its a friends.

Once modded do you take the sdcard out or do you have to leave in.

Thanks for help got this modded, updated the wii to ver 4.0u and there were some hiccups still are to be honest. Once modded would play some games via backup channel and some had error 2 I think so had to do a patch which seems to have sorted it.

Installed preloader to try to play the games via wii disc channel like I can do on my modded wii ver 3.2 but couldnt so read somewhere that had to install a load of wads and now wont play originals via wii channel but will play orig via backup channel.

Also one of the originals via the wii channels wants to do a system update and comes up with a message " this console has had non authorised modifications and the update might remove these modifications and might cause console not to work"

Any ideas what to do here.
