Help for a newbie..! dreambox 500c

Hi, Iv been trying for hours to set up my dreambox 500c and finally decided to ask for help. I have flashed DW 2.1 onto the box and scanned for channels, but most of them are locked. Iv been reading a few tutorials and threads on the topic but still not 100% sure what I should do.

The image has evocam on it so I don't think I need to put a new cam on the box but there is hypercam out, is this needed on the box?

Do I need to replace the rom7 rom10 and rom11 with the ones in the download section?

I have also read in one of the guides that the autoupdate.key and key files need to be put onto the box but Iv also read that the new roms auto update the key files, so do I need to replace these files?

The final thing confusing me is having to alter some of the values of the roms to 775, Im not sure if this is needed for the dbox or dbox2, so is the needed for the 500c and if so how would I go about doing it?

After completing these steps will I be able to view the locked channels?
