Hi people,

Ive read in the news over the last couple of days that Vermin will be trialing a new 10 meg upload speed in some areas of the UK (north east and midlands i believe). would it be possible to get in on some of this upload speed living in london or would we have to wait for it to be rolled out to the rest of the network?

on the current network, i simply dont beleive any of that. i have unlimited upstream and the network maxes out at 5

The new upstream test involves new modulation and is only available in certain trial areas to those using the 50Meg service.

This is a headline grab stunt only - any real upgrade is likely to be more of the order of 2.5Mbit/sec up and possibly for the upcoming 100Mbit/sec tier which is supposed to be launching early next year.

how did you get unlimited upstream mate? ive been trying to get a decent upload for a while now and always run in to dead ends!

yeah, i'm only capable of doing it, i dont actually do it. i dont download/upload anything anyway.
