Default ProgDVB with TwinhanDTV on Windows 7.

Is this going to be an impossible task or should it work fine?

At the mo I have the card in and the drivers are all on and sitting in device manager quite happily with:

DVB -TV 878 Digital Capture Device
DVB -TV 878 Digital Tuner Device

This are the drivers windows auto assigned.

So everything looked rosey, except when I go into ProgDVB and goto:

Channel list > Channel Search > {BDA} DTV - DVBC 878 Digital tuner filter (only option)

It doesn't even try and search, comes up instantly with a scanning report saying nothing there.

Any idea whats could be causing this? I am just about to try the Twinhan drivers off their site.

You have to do a Blind Search, i usually start from 100, to 800, step is at 2, symbol rates 6952 and 6887

That should find the channels, if not we will try to debug the problem

Welcome BTW

Thanks Oxyg3n.

I was getting nowhere with DVBprog so I jumped ship and I am now using DVB dream.

This looks more promising and seems to be scanning properly.

Not managed to find any channels yet. Even after added the 500.ini file.

On the scan results. finds 100 or so no signals and then around 60 emptys.

Any ideas?

You will find a lot of blank frequencies, since not everything is used on the cable network, and a Lot of blank channels, these tend to be either VM testing channels, or channels waiting for something to be broadcast on them (either off-air or Live Events)

Well I am Telewest so I am guessing it is 6952 and I have tried both of those I think.

I'm guessing that your symbolrate is 6887 then, two choices, change the 6952's to 6887's with that 5000.ini file then overwrite the 5000.ini in dvbdream and scan or the transponder file for progdvb in the downloads has an "all list" open that and copy the frequencies listed under "china" into dvbdream, it has both!
