VM V+ HD Box

Hi guys, did a mosc for a vm hd box and it was all working fine for a few months but now it has gone off, just get a blank screen with no display, any ideas?

Sounds like the dates have expired , Read the card with NagraEdit 4.1 , Open the data editor tab , Scroll down to the tier / tiers ( in pink ) and change them to the following :

Modification date : 19 3C
Begin date :1E 28
Expire date : 37 29
Rights date : 35 29

After you have changed the Rights , Select write to card , When this is completed stick it back in the box and all should be back to normal.

If you are a novice at Writing mosc cards may i suggest you make a back up copy of the image before you start ( The card also holds vital information such as BK & IRD )in case it all goes Pete tong

Cant see how it could be to do with dates, i have just done another mosc for another box with the same image and its working fine? but to make sure i will get back into the card and check the dates and let you know, thanks for your help

if your not usind a hi-def tv you might of accidently changed the defenation in the setup menu to hd this would result in loss of picture and apear just black

If the above statement is the issue, hold play and stop, plug power into the box, wait until you see "boot" then release the buttons. Navigate right until you see your desired output (HDMI, YPBpR etc), press OK and the box should reboot .

At the min i dont have a feed here as its for a friend, i do not know if the box should be outputting anything via hdmi without a feed. i have set box to hdmi like you said holding play/pause and stop then selecting hdmi and press ok, the box reboots but nothing displayed on tv. I also had a scart connected aswell when i changed to hdmi and i got black screen with grey boarders through av channel so there is some form of output to av scart. Im really not sure what is the issue. here are the dates on the card. also i dumped card with xncs and when i read the dump in nagra edit 4.1 the ird was all 0's (00 00 00 00), did xncs cause this or is that why the box is not working.

first standard tier is:-

mod date 19 3c
beg date 1e 28
expire date 37 29
rights date 28 21

rest of standard tiers are:-

mod date 19 62
beg date 19 22
expire date 28 21
rights date 28 21

Ok thanks, now i gotta suss how to get back into the card bcos of blockers, nagra asking for bdo key, have i got to use mrom and then a d2c file in nag edit to repair backdoors?
