im annoyed again somebody help me sort this out please

this is begining to do my nut in now and im sure sure kind sole from here will be able to sort me out iv posted about it before but never got anything to go off really

i have vmc with tv pack update

I have a floppy dtv connected for my V****N M***A connection all channels scan in correctly but i cant seem to find the box office events channels i.e the boxing last night
i have the frequency it was on in my registry file and if i use the viewer that comes with the tuner (firedtv viewer) it finds the channel no hasstle (shows as a service channel) but i cant get it to show up in VMC no matter what i try

i know the channel is there but its just not available in vmc

anyone have any ideas?

Try scanning for channels a few times. Use "Scan for more channels" you don't have to go through setup again. It usually finds a few more. I think if there is nothing being broadcast, it doesn't "see" the channel.

The boxing channel was in use about 48hours before hand, only showing the ad for the fight, ProgDVB registered the channel name as "TV Service 1700" this time.

I've never been able to find pay per view stuff (aka naked lady channels) in VMC, although you're right, they shows up perfectly on FireDTV as "Service" channels. Slightly annoying having to move to another program to see if anything good is on late night, but I suppose it stops the kids asking why their "favourite" channel gets some strange entries in the morning!

yeah i have heard people who get these channels no problem though which makes it all the more frustrationg

im sure i remember a few people on here saying they got them all with no fuss just wish there was a sraightforward answer

lol, I get the adult channels - they seem to be listed twice, once with the PIN entry channel that just shows a splash screen, and once with the actual channel.

I get some channel listed as ETVS10 - 16, just flicked through and one a few of them are showing golf, one rugby and the other MotoGP, then one is showing some menu system. Looks like BBC Sport interactive?

I get PPV Sub, and PPV Events.

Non of the buttons on the VMC remote do anything, though. DE did say they were looking at making them work.

yeah i can get all the adult channels etc its just these darn events when they come on

i do get the ppv sub and live events chanels and all the other funny labelled ones but non show the actual events thee live events channel shows the splash screen for the event which is due to be on but im yet to find the actual feed

when you say adult channels are you refering to adult channel/ playboy and television x or do you get all of them including the 40+ ones with the pay per view splash screens?

Within Media Centre I get three - Television X, Playboy and Adult Channel. If I do a channel search in FireDTV Viewer, I get these 3 and 6-10 others listed as "Service" and a number. There's a few blank "Service" channels and one or two are PPV movies in progress, but there's always about half a dozen ladies channels in there too.
