err11 on 4000t in tw area

Evening all

I fixed a box for friend out of my area (excw) 41050 for a tw area I made sure the box worked ie in cw and then changed netid for destined area 40975 which held up in em after mahy checks even tho the frequency would not hold in memory?

The box was then setup in the tw area and alls fine for 1 week then the box on booting show err11??

okay thats a cant find network?? id box shows the right netid

Without going to the location and giving info via landline what do you think has gone wrong??

I know the box worked fine here in cw even though its a 4000t they do work here I have 1 here now on test!!!

Any previous problems or links is appreciated

My thoughts possibly is...

Would the friend putting subbed card into mod box and visa versa cause a netid problem??

as I suspect instead of moving the mod box to downstairs he might have just changed cards??? being a knob?? possibly

Just probably a bad connection, is it a screw on f connector, maybe come lose from cable ?

try talking him through getin into eng menu to see if net id is still there //could be prob in the area // or he has tryed to move it and has red says f has come off

After thinking about it and reading about this err I can only agree with both of you above

I have prepped another 4000t ready But hopefully i will be able to get him to check connections and also get into EM for netid & freq check

page 12 EM shows no signal all red?

yes
have just got him to conect direct to main cable feed and alls green

just checking the splitter now

Looks like he's hard wired the split cable before testing at source and has driven staple through it

also running vonage on the cable ?? whatever that is??
