Default Waiting for time/electrical problem

This is quite a strange one as i can't find any details anywhere. I've got my mother in laws dbox2 (sagem) that is displaying waiting for time. I've checked all posts and forums around here and the t'interweb and not found anything relating to this problem.
I've ruled out the signal into the house but for some reason, when the dbox is connected to the tv, there is an electrical current running through the tuner of the dbox (i can feel a slight shock when i accidentally touched it) and also through the tv's aerial socket when its connected to the tv. i turn the dbox off and everything is fine again through the tv so just wondering of any of you guys had any idea what the prob is? i've got 2 spare dboxes for parts so am i able to fix it with minimal fuss?
