sb5100 mod on dynamic area - swansea

Ok, i put sb5100 mod on to a couple of modems and then sent them back to me mate, he's in swansea and has dynamic configs in his area - he just sent me back a list of his configs. any way, how do i get him online, any thing i need to know as all i had to do when i had them here was the HFC mac.

yeah, get a good mac. let it go opperational. let it stay online for 10 mins whithout getting booted, then telnet into it and write...

cd ip
lease_show 1
y

this will give you a hfc lease time. if its 3600 seconds, reboot modem and it should go to a week long lease.

if the lease time is 120 seconds, try another mac

nice one thanks, he's went to get the cables and that and then should be back today at some point.

So it is just a case of just keep trying HFC macs and that's all mate....
