if your getting bb and a landline/tv for £17/month, then thats a good deal. If you're paying £17/month just for bb,id get on the phone!

i kinda feel like loyalty means nothing these days, i thought they could give me a better offer now or even free tv but no,
Lets see. We pay O2 £12.50 a month(with three months free) and BT £12.79 a month(due to be £11.54) We paid BT £30 to install our line, and O2 is giving us £80 cashback, and three months free BB

We are paying £25.29/month but once cashback is applied, we are paying £19.15/month for BB+phone OR
£5.97/month for BB and
£13.21/month for line rental(the maths comes to £19.18/month, but I've rounded to 2dp)

Now O2 are giving £50(they were giving £80 a week ago) cashback, but you could always go to Orange+BT for the cheapest deal!

Orange give £70 cashback, and BT give £25 cashback, but you MUST go through quidco.

Orange BB:
£10 a month/18 months=£180
£70 cashback=£110

BT line rental:
£11.54/18 months=£207.72
£30 installation=£237.22
£25 cashback=£212.22

£212.22+£110=£322.22
£322.22/18=£17.90 for broadband and phone

So, you are definitely getting a good deal if you are getting BB+phone for £17/month! I would still be inclined to go to another ISP over VM if you are c/s. If you aren't, then you've got a cheap deal. In fact, you've got the cheapest deal available(for like for like broadband)

Orange give "up to" 20Mb broadband speed, but because their service is meant to be awful, youll probably receive about 8-10Mb/s, so about what you're getting with VM at the moment

The only real downside by having a BT line rental is that you have to make 30(charge-able) calls per quarter, or 10 calls per month(depending on how you set up your direct debit) You can keep your phone number as well with BT if you so wish

I got the maths wrong for monthly BB+line rental. It should be
£6.11/month for BB
£11.79/month for line rental

Total £17.90/month

Still if you are getting phone+BB for £17/month, then you are indeed getting a very good deal from VM!

F*ckin A+ Benno.

Just been on to VM, told them I could get Broadband and phone fron BT for £7.99 (first three months increasing to £17.99 thereafter), plus £11.50 line-rental.

Been a customer for 15 years blah blah blah.

Got put through to retentions, gave me M TV package, Broadband & phone for £25.99 per month, they're even giving me £19.50 refund in lieu of BT's three month reduction.

VM must be getting battered, they're losing more money by going to Nag 3 than they're saving.

Thanks Benno

You alright Guys..

I pay them £29.50 per month for (10MG) BB and (M) Tv package.!!
and have done since 2006 Do you think it's worth me trying my luck.

I don't really complaine much not with the Eurovox and all seems a little cheeky to be honest but what do you reckon.?

I have just bit the bullet & signed up for XL tv, 10MB BB + Unlimited Phone package for £43.69 a month (including line rental)! I tried to get them to give Sly sports as well but would not budge! Not a bad deal I think as I was already paying £44 a month for BT line, Basic package & BB from another provider so no loss - apart from sport & movies!

I wouldn't be so smug if I were you. What do you think the standard price for Phone M, BB L and TV M is? Clue - It's less than £25.99!

This is why you should check out other deals BEFORE you say you want to leave. For us, they offered £19 for BB+phone, which is not a bad deal, but once cashback is applied for O2 BB, we are technically paying £17.90 for BB+phone
