Default Sat questions

can someone advise my what satellites i can get on my 600 dreambox in northern ireland. i have a 1 metre or a 1.1 metre dish. i would like to know if my dish is large enough for all the satellites. which ones should i get and which ones will i not get?

If you look at the footprints on Lyngsat.com, you can see what you will definatley recieve. Some other sats will depend on how good the quality of your equipment is, how well it's installed and a little luck. So very hard to give you a definate answer. The only way to tell for sure is to point your dish at it and try.

You definitely won't receive all satellites, no matter what size dish you have, as about two thirds of them are below the horizon. You most probably won't get 26E or 7W either as the dish is too small. You should get the usual 30W,1W,8W,5W,1W,5E,9E,13E,19E,28E,39E etc though, plus a few more besides.

If you input your location details in Dishpointer,and click on the All available satellites and estimated dish sizes for your location link,it will give you some idea of the satellites available to you.
