error on samsung 2110c help

hi all ,looking for a bit of help if possible, i have a samsung 2110c box in tw area using n>> card,box looked like it was updateding itself yeterday and is now showing Ld:20 on box,had a look around the forums and tried booting it holding both channel buttons down and let go at ld14 it then lets me into installation menu but i dont know what to look for,before i tried all this i can tell you that my cables are all ok as i have a dreambox 500c and its working np,i usually have someone to do this for me but he has moved away,is there anything i can try that can get this box running again or do i have to go to someone who knows his stuff to do it as i am not too clued up about it, any help or advice would be great hope i covered everything that need to be known tx stags

Hi

Check your cables ld20 is signal issue, as you say sig is ok with dreambox you may have to open up box and try to connect the cable to the internal tuner to see if it helps but more likely tuner is fecked. Theres a coil I think that gets burnt out.

Maybe you have split your sig and its low so you can try direct connection but its defo a signal issue.

tx for reply m8 been looking through other posts simaler problem mentions net id and frequency but i dont know how to check this and what i should be looking for,im in scotlands capital ex tw area,im maybe clutching at straws but i have not got a clue about opening box and hoping to cover every option before i take it to someone ,but if you think tuners gone does that mean bucket? tx again

ok i have managed to find default frequency and net idon my box, looking at the stickys my net id is ok but frequency is different, i dont want to do anything that might create problems but should i try and change the frequency for my area? dont want to alert anybody help would be great tx all stags

Hi

If netid is correct for your area you just need to scroll down to freq in EM and change to correct freq for your area and also check the symb rate and change. Save the changes and then check again.

ok m8 tx i take it all codes in stickys are up to date and what do i press to save when done as remote is not responding, also i wont get an unwanted knock on the door doing this?

Im assuming its a modded box and talkback is cut but if its a subbed box then dont mess with it just ring vm up and let them sort it.

ye its a modded box ,ihave just found something new out, my sons dbox2 packed up and he wired up a subbed box in his room we got free from them when we got phone and internet that only show free to view channels could this have caused a problem with my modded box? also when i change frequency how do i save it ? tx for your help gaz its much appreciated

I think to change things scroll to th freq should be a green arrow press ok should take you inside freq box allowing you to make changes the once done ok or services to store changes same with symb rate.then reboot and check changes have been stored.

Connecting a subbed box in place of dbox shouldnt cause this with the modded box.

ok checked net id and frequency on problem box and they match with codes on another forum site , thought i would have a look and compare with subbed box and they are different,is it ok to try same settings without any comebacks? tx for any help you can offer stags
