Hello, well basically i have this fairly old laptop that is ANNOYINGLY slow.

I basically want to improve the RAM and rebuild the software on it to hopefully make it quicker..

I am a complete newbie at this so any help would be very much appreciated!

More RAM - always makes a difference.

Go to _www.crucial.com/uk and buy some nice cheap ram for it. One thing to watch - some laptops have the existing ram under the keyboard so discover where the ram is before you spend any money!
