You dont need a dvb-t. You can sync most of the channels with the microsoft guide listings. Works a treat.

What you need to do is:

1. Install the drivers
2. Install dvbviewer( im using ver. 4.0)
3. Scan your channels with the appropriate transponder
4. Install and configure vplug
5. Download dvblink for dvbviewer
6. Carefully follow the dvblink installation instructions.

forgot to ask what version of vplug are you using
and do you have a link for dvblink
ive ordered my card just got wait now
cheers

2.4.1 Here and a tt-1501. You will need a Vkeys.db file to stick into the folder though.

I've been wanting to test this setup for a while myself, i did build a little test machine but found that DVBViewer would crash with the plugin.

Might have to give it another try over the weekend now though.

DVB Viewer CANNOT be started once the link server is up and running. This is an important step I missed; Almost gave up because I kept getting the "DVBViewer has encountered a problem and has to close" . alarm

If you need to start DVB viewer to set up channels, etc, you must stop the Server. To do this, I just open the Link Configurator and it asks you if you want to stop the server. (click yes) Leave the Configurator open and you can start DVBViewer and play around with channels. When you are done, close the configurator, and it will ask if you want to start the server again..click yes and you are good to go.

They work flawlessly. Hd was a bit jumpy on my old machine(p4 3ghz). Built a new quad core machine and its great, channel change much quicker and hd is perfect.

bah..I thought it might be a DVBlink prob.

I shouldnt have a prob; I am only using 40 percent processor and all my MKVs etc play fine within Media Centre. I have also tried a Win7 hack tool to change the MPEG 2 codec but Cyberlink, FFD show and Windows own all give the same result - Perfect Audio/ video with the occasional Jitter on Video every so often (bad enough to be too annoying to watch)

DVBDream/MediaPortal/Prog/DVbViewer all display HD Perfectly so I am a bit stumped...

do you have a good ati card
with the latest drivers you can use the built in avivo decoder works well
if not the best decoder to use which isnt to resource hungry is coreavc but i dont know if it works with dvbviewer
also you can also try nvidia purevideo i know that works well
ordered my card just waiting now
i asked earlier is dvblink free sw because on there site they say its a 30day trial
thanks
