So, Is the DVBLink causing trouble?
Not had this myself, but might be worth checking which audio pid dvbdream is using and whether you have the same one piped through dvblink to 7MC. Also, check what audio codec shows up when viewing in DVBdream - some channels may be using ac3 for example which 7mc by default doesn't make use of. Bit weird about the (sound option thing though....)

Hundreds of nameless channels? I get a few but never been sure what causes this - anyone else know? Not sure what to suggest for that i'm afraid.

A trick I started using was to use ProgDVB for to do a scan using the blind search options. Get the full channel list and then just grab the transponder/frequency details for the channels I'm after and just do a manual scan on that one in DVBDream.

So my assumption is there must be some bug in DVBLink which is causing corruption of HD data when it is being fed to media center program. Not sure though.
Again can't really comment as I've not had any problems (sorry probably not what you want to hear )

Have you tried mediabrowser & mediascout? _http://www.hack7mc.com has some good tutorials.

An update.

Well I installed my HD 4650 and hey-ho my HD is now Perfect! Not only that but my SD stuff seems much nicer.

I assumed that, because my Nvidia GPU had no issue with H264 that it would be a given that Mpeg 2 would be ok. It must be something to do with some Media centre trickery as my HD was always ok in DVBviewer, if not a little fuzzier

Regarding the Missing audio, I also have the same issue. Most channels when scanned in Dvbviewer follow the trend

CHANNEL(eng)
- CHANNEL (NAR)

so language 1 in Media centre is English ....(NAR) has no Audio in MC

However, other channels default to

CHANNEL (NAR)
-CHANNEL (eng)

This means you always have to select language 2 for those channels. Unfortunately, MC doesnt "remember" the Language per channel so you keep on having to swap back and forth.

I have tried deleting the (NAR) channels to make the (eng) primary, but it doesnt work.

BTW the HD 4650 was only 35 quid and well worth a punt. Reasonably quiet, too

Thanks for your reply htpcman. Where can I make sure that I am piping a specific PID for a channel in dvblink? I can't seem to remember any such options. On of the problems with DVBLink/DVBBridge is once you have synced channels it does not allow you to alter anything. You have to clear it all and resinc. I hope they improve on this in future.

I will have to experiment with ProgDVB then!

I have found mediabrowser & mediascout . Good stuff but sad to hear that media browser is becoming a paid software .

I wonder if anyone is working on a hack to directly incorporate SoftCAMs like vPlug in to MC7. That would be just great. I am impressed with Win7 sofar.

The bit I was thinking of was from the dvblink module option in dvbdream, from memory (sry not at pc right now) you select the channels you want. On mine I had what i thought were duplicates, until I noticed they had different audio pids. Althought thinking about it this could be because I've been using the same backup of the XML file this produces for ages and might have screwed it up!

Ps vplug directly in 7mc would be a dream! Don't think this is likely to happen though

OK for you guys that are interested all dvblogic installs have been updated with a fix for the HD glitching and working perfect for me now

As for your audio issues, in dvbviewer channel editor you don't have to delete just drag the (eng) to where the (NAR) is this *will* permanently swap them for you

Hi

I'm after a little help if anyone can offer any. So far i have:

1) purchased and fitted tt-1501c budget from dvbshop
2) installed drivers - ttBudget2_5.0.1.8 - recognised by win7(x64) - doesnt seem to be any issues
3) installed DVBViewer Pro 4.0.0
4) scanned transponder and found 178 channels, less than expected but i'll worry about that later.
5) Can view all the freeview channels in DVBViewer no issues.

Now this is the bit where i seem to have an issue. I'm trying to install vplug downloaded from vplug website. i point it at the following folder when installing:
C:\Program Files (x86)\DVBViewer\plugins
it looks like it installs but i dont see the vplugs monitor. Am i missing a step?

thanks

It goes in the configuration folder C/programme data/CMVU/DVBviewer/plugins or something like that, if you can’t see the programme data folder do start/control panel/folder options(in classic view)/view(tab)/select show hidden files and folders, then point vplug to there.
