Right now that the above post seems to gave gone live I am going to try to explain my problem.
I have a Motorola SB5101E using the Haxorware 1.0 RC6 on Virgins line where I am based in Small Heath, Birmingham. I have been using it now for about 8-9 months contonuous use with no problems at all. At about 9.30pm BST last night the modem went down on me and wont do nothing else at the moment apart from blinking its "online" LED. I have a list of mac addresses that I was provided with some months back however after sitting up well into the early hours trying each one and then going through them again this morning I have not had any luck and a little frustrated by it. I am a beginner with these modems as I purchased the modem all set up and ready working for me. So to be honest with you I am not up to date with the terminology used on these. I am currently having to use one of PCs on my BT Hub that I pay for through BT. I kept this on for backup purposes in the case of faults or my modem going dead, as in this instance. I have had a look through the TechWatch forums and it appears that some membersare aware of Virgin changing the config file. I am not sure what that is or how to chnage it or what to chnage it to. I can log into the Haxorware screen. It shows the following on its screens. FREQUENCY Annex - BOTH Pref DS Freq 1 - 331000000 Hz Pref DS Freq 2 - 339000000 Pref DS Freq 3 - 0 Hz Upstream Channel - 3 CONFIG FILE Server IP - BLANK File Name - cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm Autoserve Enabled - UNTICKED Stored cfg - cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm (152 Bytes) I hope the above info will assist to get me back online. At present the modem is restarting and flashing its ONLINE led. THanks in advance and my apologies that this may sound dumb and again if i have put this post in the wrong place. Thanks in advance Jay-J |

And get rid of cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm that 2 as it might not let you connect to that config..
just leave it blank.. keep trying macs.

This also happened to me.
Firstly, the modem started working again when I removed the cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm config file. It only started working again when I autoserved it. So in the first instance, remove the confog file and see if it goes operational at 2meg. If it does, then upload the cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm file to the modem and try and autoserve it. This worked for me, it may for you too. As I said, mine also went off and I was unable to use any config file without autoserving it. |

If you don't have a MAX232 just a copy of your event log will be ok for now, together with a note of what all your settings are currently set at sr20 |

Thanks for your reply SR20.
I do not have a MAX32 cable as I have never flashed it or even know how to. So as requested is a copy of the Event Log and below is a full rundown of the settings hat are currently in the modem. Hope this helps.
