I don't usually bother with the satellite side of this forum (i'm a cable guy lol) but I have a question. My girlfriend has Sky at her home and she is having a Sky+ box fitted downstairs so she is going to put the current box in her room. How would I go about splitting the signal between both boxes?
Thanks. |

You dont. You replace the lnb on the dish with a quad and run new cables from the dish to the locations where you want the receivers to go
You need 2 feeds to the Sky+ box and one for the bedroom

Sky will probably do it for you, as it is part of the sales package for Sky +. They will fit a quad LNB, LNB with 4 outputs, run 2 to the new Sky + box, so that she can record 1 program while viewing a seaparte program, and run a third to the old box.
