ntl pace 4010 down need help plz

hi there,

having some probs with 4010 and wondering if anyone could give me some advice? my pace was working and card has been done before by a mate

I've read through most posts/threads and still having difficulty

got er11 & er12 coming up and after awhile ap:52

got in eng setting and says network id 52259

pulled red jumper out 30 seconds put back in and rebooted

still no joy

downloaded netidv2.1.7.2 and got net id & pin for leicester which id was 00012

I am in a pure area

managed to get the flash and int eprom and programmed fun card 4 with phoenix usb programmer

put into box and still no joy

put original ntl card back still no joy

do I have to get box key and ird?
and if so how do I get these settings?

any help would be most appriciated

You don't use the Funcard for setting the Net ID in Pure, it will not work as the Net ID updates itself. You can get the BK from the card by reading it in a Phoenix programmer using a program called Nagra Edit.

err 11 and err 12 are nothing to worry about it,s something silly that really makes no difference ..... if it,s stopping on ap52 make sure you connections are all good and no loose cables pull the red jumper again leave it 2 min then plug back on feed and let it take an update (the numbers on the display will count up from 0000 to 9999 )then unplug and boot into em , set your pin and unplug again then plug back in but this time hold the ch- button down untill you see ld14 then release , fingers crossed it should boot .. if not repeat the last step a few times these boxes are tempramental...then all you need to do is read your card for ya bk and ird ...or get your ird from em and bk from card ,,,, and use the funcard tut to write your new card .......put on bbc1 and leave till tv guide pops up and disapears again ...........

wow got a bit carried away there thats nearly a tut in it,s self and in plain english lol.......

Downloaded nagra edit 4.1 and tried to read from card for BK
but it seems to be having probs reading from card?
I'm using phoenix programmer through usb com 1
is this correct? or do i need to use other cable in programmer?

sorry have put in other cable now and running in phoenix mode
seem to have got abit further but alas no read
