You would be stupid to mod the modem that virgin give you as this is registered to you. It would make much more sense to go onto ebya and buy yourself an ambit 250 or something then search this forum a bit follow some guides and voila you will have yourself a modded modem

I'm not trying to scaremonger or anything but i heard a rumour ebay give the address of buyers who buy second hand cable modems to Virgin.

Hopefully someone can put an end to this rumour! As I said before its only a rumour and is probably bull**** for all i know!

Sounds like bs to me as well pretty sure thats breach of data protection act unles there is a valid reason such as ongoing investigation into person but other than that I dont think they are allowed to do it
