I have been using a modded Motorola SB Modem with the 20MB business config for around 5 months with no issues at all. Haven't even had to change the HFC address. The other day in a bid to save money, we phone to see if Virgin could offer us a better deal and they offered us one with 10MB upgrading from our current 2MB for less money.
The very next day, I couldnt access the internet using my Motorola SB, the 'Online' light just flashed. I have tried it with about 20 new macs and it still will not work. Is there a setting somewhere else that I need to change in order to make it work? Thanks. |

Thanks. Got it working now at 20MB by using a 20MB MAC. Is there no way to force a config now? The last MAC I was using was a 4MB MAC forced at 20MB. As that MAC caused me no problems for 5 months, I would like to carry on using that one. I just tried it and it works but it only gives me 10MB.

Thanks very much. I've done what you have suggested and it works. I've also tried forcing this new config and it also works. Is it better to force or autoserve?
