Default Upstream ranging SB5101E

Evening guys. Recently purchased a SB5101E modem running Haxorware 1.1 32. Have a list of mac addresses I keep trying. Have checked the forum all over to check my settings are correct and all appears to be in order. I am in ex c&w using freq 586750000. When I attempt to connect the upstream ranging just continues to loop after the downstream locks. The event log output is as follows:

Time Priority Code Description
1970-01-01 00:04:14 Critical R002.0 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out (US 4)

Is this upstream not locking purely down to not having a correct mac address or is there more to it? Thanks in advance!

Could also be signal level..a noise blocker on your feed..or that you're using the wrong frequency for your area.

Before anyone says no..that can be the case even if you get DS lock

could be. i use a starview off the same feed so like to think its ok. as for the freq from what I have found on the forums thats the correct one. fella round the corner is on the same freq. downstream signal section shows:

Frequency 298 MHz
Status Locked
Annex EuroDOCSIS
Modulation QAM256
Symbol Rate 6952000 sym/sec
Receive Power -7.4 dBmV
Signal to Noise ratio 39.5 dB

all cloned modems are off in belfast and ive heard reports of them being off elsewhere also looks like we are going the same as the last lot of bad times

although one thing ive noticed about this time is i keep getting the dhcp discover sent but offer not received message but its not blacklisting the computers nic mac from the network which is rather strange as a subbed modem works right away after this message has appeared without changing nic mac

your best bet is too wait it out like the last time

Yes that's the same thing that was happening last time...looks like they've turned the clone detection back on.

There's 3 methods of blacklisting modems:

Blacklist at CMTS = no rng rsp
Blacklist at DHCP = no offers recieved
Blacklist NIC MAC = connection but no pages

You're using a docsis 1.1 frequency, if your modem is getting assigned a docsis 1.0 config you'll be sticking out like a sore thumb. Change your freq to the old one for your area.
