I found an SB5101e in the cupboard which was knocked out by VM last year. It was running infinite but had the default password and username and they were able to fill the bios with garbage. Can it be restored?

You will need a Blackcat cable because the modem is bricked.

But it can be restored? I've a couple of other modems lying around, they are going on fleabay and want to specifically say that is not working at the moment but can be recovered

Yeah the Ambits were recovered after they were hit by VM.
