Technotrend DVB-C 2300 Premium PCI xp help please

Hi guys sorry im a novice to this and appologies if there is a thread on this ,i have purchased a 2nd hand tt dvb-c 2300 premium card. sadly i never recived any software or drivers for xp. Is there drivers and software available for this on xp? as i only seem to find win 2000 drivers.

any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

The drivers should work under XP if they were for 2000, as XP is built on windows 2000.

There should also however, be specific drivers for windows XP, I do see your point though, there is an abundance of 2000 drivers, but little else.

Have you tried using the windows 2000 drivers, as in most cases, i have found, if there is nothing else, 2000 drivers work fine, unless there is a known issue with the hardware/driver &/or operating system.

The latest 2.19 drivers work just fine in XP

Be aware though, that because this is a hardware Mpeg card 3rd party support is somewhat lacking. A few programs do support it but anything that requires BDA type drivers is not going to work.

You may have difficuly getting this card to work with a softcam. Your best option would be a cam adaptor and cam unit with appropriate card.

The device will not function with HD channels. The mpeg decoder does not support them. You may, however, be able to stream the HD data to disk for later playback in an alternative viewer (ie VLC).
