Tiscali Email Issues

I access my tiscali email through microsoft outlook/outlook express and noticed that every 3-4 mins I get a box pop up on screen with enter network password, with server box saying pop3.tiscali.co.uk, username being my email address and password box obviously with ******** then asking me to click to okay or cancel. I have checked my account settings and all is okay, so all I can assume is that it is having problems accessing the tiscali server.

Is anyone else having the same issues?

Been suffering this problem too - and soon dismissed Tiscali's suggestion on their support forums that it was OUR problem due to a Microsoft update. I collect on 8 different email accounts, from 4 different servers and only Tiscali's are suffering this problem - so I strongly doubt that it is a problem on my computer that is causing the error.

If you wait a few seconds (count to five) and just click to retry using the same details it usually succeeds - at least on that account. It also seems better in the dead of night when the servers are quiet. Really hope that they get this sorted soon as it is a real pain.

Getting online with tiscali is a real pain sometimes.I was having problems over the weekend. I gave it up as a bad job on saturday.I notice that it is worse when it is banging it down. If things do not improve soon.Vermin here I come.I have been with tiscali since they took over lineone. But they are testing my patiance now.Download speed is near dialup speed.
