Comm Error (Read) "ambit-250"

Hi,

I have an Ambit 250 modem flashed with Infinite and been getting "Comm Error (Read)!" when using the 250 configurator through USB? And every time i try connecting to the modem with telnet, it freezes up after entering the user name (Infinite) "user name Infinite - Password SetValue" and ends up kicking me off!

I'm able to connect to the modem through the browser "IE" by entering "192.168.100.1" I've also tried setting my IP as "192.168.100.10" and still getting the Comm Error? The only lights on my modem that lights up are "power" and the "e-net" Any advice from you pro's would surly be grateful and very much appreciated.

reboot modem and pc ive had it a couple of times but normally ok after a reboot
and not sure u can connect using usb i just thought it was ethernet

I've rebooted both the PC and Modem so many times my head is spinning Lol! Tried with Both cables and one at a time, but still no luck! Maybe it's a bad flash, or could be the modem itself knackered out? anyways thanks for your help.
