Hi , I have a pace 4000 cable box and was working fine until recentley. when i turn it on it seems as if its going to load but as its gets to ap 53 the box turns itself off and starts to reboot all over again. I've even left it on over night but it still did'nt load the channels up. Any help would be great so thanks in advance.. Rarfie

c & w - sunderland, no equipment mate, a fella down the road normally sorts it for is. Just wanted to no whats up with it mate thaats all.

he prob needs to pull the jumper and do the netid again

Agree with G77 about needing netid reset, you could go into EM and check just to be sure just bothering me slightly that is actually getting to ap53.

gets to ap 53 then it like as if the power been cut and box starts to reboot.

Hi

Did you check in EM if netid is correct for your area. If box needs resetting then you will need some equipment, either a proggy and funcard or jtag or scart to serial to reset netid.

It getting to AP53 is whats bothering me but as G77 said I would reset box anyway.

well i opened the box up and some sort of resistor fell out. Anyway i thought i'd broke my box but when i plugged everything back in the box booted up with no problems what so ever. But now i need to know what this resistor is for and is it important or should i just throw it away?? so please someone shed some light on this daft situation for me ...
