having watched some pre season footy and having sky sports news on quite a lot recently

i have noticed that the red ticker tape at the bottom of sky sports news isnt smooth its slightly slows down and a little jerky

and also noticed that watching football the picture seems the same

is it decoder related as i have changed a couple of times and noticed the one im currently using (nvidia purevideo) seems to be the best but it still not right

it seems like im forever tinkerin with this system so anyone with any tips let me know

im using a dual core AMD proccessor 32bit (not sure on other specs at mo as im on laptop)
and using abit AN-M2 HD motherboard and using the onboard graphics from that through a hdmi lead to the tv

using Vista ultimate with service pack 1 the MCE within Vista and with TV Pack installed

Changing the refresh rate to 50hz usually does the trick as pal runs at roughly 25 FPS so when the refresh rate is at 60 there are 10 odd frames.

where am i changing the refresh rate?

on my desktop on inside media center

ive tried both but not sure if its actually changed?
