I was rescanning box and half way through, accidentaly disconnected it from mains. When I turned it on again it was showing over 1000 channels but the names of the channels showed something like: @4477£F&H45$H65$... and they were all locked.

So I unlocked 1 to see what they were, as soon as I did that the box froze.

Now when I switch it on from mains, the red light (STANDBY) shows , then after a few seconds the blue light (ON) shows but there is no pic just black screen. Can't change channel, volume or turn it off via remote. The Blue light always stays on.

Tried flashing it but as son as I plug box into mains the BLUE LIGHT comes on and stays on and wont flash.

Has the tuner gone or is the box dead?

Any ideas or solutions would be much appreciated?

thats the same with my box i put the null modem cable in and the blue lite stays on and i cant turn it off.

now when i put the null modem onto the box there is no light

You will need to jtag your box then put firmware back on .
You can buy jtag off ebay

How much does the cable cost?

Is there an instruction manual/ step-by-step guide on here on how to Jtag a Eurovox?
