Hi everyone

First off i would like to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to the info on this site. It has been great. A couple of weeks ago i new nothing about any sort of cable. now i have ex7000hd + 1tb external hard drive, set up and runing. Sweeet!!!

I have 2 problems.

The favorites dont seem to be allocated to the favorite groups correctly. From what i have read this seems to be a firmware issue that i dont believe has been resolved yet. (runing the march update).

The epg section doesnt load up correctly. It loads up on odd channels but not all of them. This is frustrating as it means i cant record any programs.

Any suggestions??

Well done getting it set up :P

I think the favorites thing is a firmware issue as mine doesn't work either, and the epg might be low signal?

Both of these issues have been discussed and commented on numerous times they are both glitches in the firmware, hopefully we may eventually get a fix, especially the EPG

damm. that is ennoying, cant tell whats on or record programs!!! is this an intermitent problem or is everyone having the same problems??

for the favourites, i notice that if one channel belongs to two or more favourite groups, everything will be screwed. But if i keep a ratio of 1:1, everything works.

also, do channel.tbn backups so that if the firmware suddenly decides to malfunction after a change, you can easily revert back to a working channel/favourite list.

good news!! managed to fix both the issues.

went onto channet, reset channels.

went through the complete un-edited list (all 750+!!) and removed all of them from favorites. saved at this point and checked they where all empty. they still had the names i allocated to each group from before the reset.

then went through and edited the list (removed all duplicates)

went into favorite setup and allocated them all to my favorites.

EPG now loads correctly and favorites are working. havnt tried re-arranged the order in each group yet.

Just wanted to clarify. The issues with the favorites occur when then favorite manager is used to edit the the favorites. Using channel edit and favorite setup doesnt effect the functioning of the the favories. but using the favorite manager does.

rx7eaven, thanks for the clarification. I now finally have channels in the favourites. un-ordered but at least they're in there.
