Could you clarify this quote for me please buddy i'm not sure if your saying it works for you OR if it does not work as you say the 'modem gets stuck at IP COMPLETE'
As I said:

The only thing is that the only way I can do it is by autoserving the config file.
Autoserving allows me to force the config.

Forcing by the other method; entering the TFTP IP and filename doesn't. It just gets stuck at IP Complete.

Hope that clears it up for you mate, give it a go!

I will try and autoserve soon! I plan to spend tonight going through all the posts and figuring out how to autoserve as im not sure if i need to host the file on my pc or to setup a tftp server on some webspace?!?! Are there any good threads that you know of which has a concise guide to this?
For autoserving (I take it you are using Haxorware) simply click on the Config File menu link and you will see the option in there to upload a config file.

Select the config file by clicking browse then find the file you wanna use, upload it to the modem by clicking upload, you can upload a few btw. When finished then select the config you want to autoserve from the drop down box and click save and reboot. The modem has it's own TFTP gadget built in so you don't need to be running any third party software.

Is this haxorware mate?? :

FIRMWARE: VxWorks Version: 5.3
Software Version: SB4100-0.4.4.5-SCM01-NOSH-2.03

I have also been trying to distinguish whether or not the above is haxorware as someone premodded it for me about 3 years ago and it went down for the 1st time about 2 weeks ago. I have picked up the reigns from there following helpfull folk's advice from yourself and the rest of the TW CM section members!

I only have the option to:
'reset all defaults'& 'restart cable modem' on the 'config' page mate but on my 'hacks' page i have a section i.e:

*********Download File from ISP's TFTP Server**********
File Name : (blank)
TFTP Server IP : (blank)
-----BUTTON, LABEL= 'Get File' -----

IS THIS THE SECTION YOU ARE REFERRING TO?

It does'nt have a 'browse' button, it has a button that says "get file".

The only section on this page that has a 'browse' button associated with it is the 'Update Cable Modem firmware section'.

Sorry mate that's not Haxorware.

I think you will find that is Sigma, which I know very little about.

BTW if you ever use Haxorware you will know it as it has Haxorware written in big letters in the top left hand corner!

I think you have Moto SB4100e/i modem mate and as far as it goes they don't take Haxorware.. I have 3 of sb4200 getting dust! They only take fibrecox, hackware or sigma I think (this is from a top of my head mate)
