Problem with DVB Viewer? Have you tried a earlier version of the software? Does the same thing happen with other programs such as ProgDVB?

Well after a little snooping about it seams that it does work. However When ever i try to do another Task (like downloading etc) it starts to jitter and break up ( Video and audio) despite the fact my CPU usage doesn't seam to go up. Like i said its fine if i start ProgDVB and DVBDream and leave it alone but if i start a Prog ( for example Utorrent) or even some Hard disk acitvty it goes to buggery.

I bought the 1501C to replace my old TT PCLine Premium as i was going to upgrade to 64Bit system and couldn't for the life of me find drivers for it under 64Bit. Never had this prob with that one just get it now with the 1501C.

My Comp specs are
Win xp SP3
4GB Ram ( only 3GB usable however cos its 32Bit XP)
Dual Core AMD 2.6 (black Edition @ 3Ghz)
Nvidia 8600GT

Im also using the PureVideo Codec.

Im still stuck getting it all to work the way id like.

Well still seam to have a prob. Seams if i do anything else (even record the stream) it starts breaking up. My Signal qaulity sits at a solid 100% however when i do anything that causes hard disk activity the signal drops to 25% and some times 0%. I beging to think theres something afoot.

My PCLine premium works great (using same codecs etc) regardless of what i am doing. Is there any know issues that would be causing this on the TT1501-C. I have an ASUS mobo. I just cant seam to work out why this is happening since my comp is more than capable of multi tasking such activities.

Thanks for any pointers folk ma have.

(sorry cant seam to edit) Just noticed its the Qaulity that sits at a solid 100% and then drops to 25% then to 0%. If i continue the disk activty it will eventually stick at 0%. However if i stop any disk activity it pops back up to 100% and works as if there was nthing wrong. like i said Card works great...except when i try ot browse the net or even dare i say it record the current program....Turning me grey here lol...

Are you using a cable modem ie the same feed for internet as DVB-C it may be a problem with the feed or splitter. As for 1501 and 64 bit there are drivers but I could never get it to work and went back to 32bit.

Well its funny you should mention it since i do indeed have the Feed for the DVB-c card and the modem running from the same splitter. After some tinkering i discovered if i disconnected the Modem Progdvb etc worked perfectly. Seams its internet activty that chews up the signal (Hench the qauilty drops). The splitter i was useing was some frankenstien home made jobby so im gonna nip to my local hardware shop and pick up a proper F Connector.

Just courious however does it make a diffrence if i have the feed and the modem connected to the samee spliter or is it likely to be ok if i used a proper F connector.

You can get a splitter in Maplins for a few pounds, I live 300m from the street box and split my feed 6 times no problem. Use decent cable solid core and keep the connnectors dry. As for a modem vs cable feed my guess would be the modem has a negligble effect on the feed its the splitter that attenuates the signal. The cable network is very well designed but if you modify what they provide and test use quality components and you should be ok within reason. Treat it with respect its a very expensive network that they have provided you with. Thats 1 of the reasons thay do not want us messing with it.
