Default Second Card

Hi All.

I have my system running just how I want it now, and I'm looking to get a second card installed I'll be geting another Floppy DTV, but I have noticed that you cannot order the CAM pre flashed now.

I have a couple of questions.
Do I need to get a CAM Flasher, or is there a nother way to do it?
My current CAM is running Joker 0.79 will the second need to be the same version or can I put 0.80 on it?
Is there any benefit in updating my current CAM to 0.80?

Thanks

There's meany to be a way of updating using a Funcard, but I've never yet seen it work. CAS3 with the included JTAG works perfectly.

Pretty sure you can mix and match. Never tried it myself, but can't see a reason why it wouldn't work.

I had problems with some channels coming up "encrypted" and needing a reboot or unplugging/replugging to get any channel decrypting with 0.79. I changed it to 0.80 and that problem disappeared, but I now have 6 or so channels that have audio but no picture. If 0.79 works fine for you, stick with it. If you're experiencing strange issues, try 0.80 and see if it works better.

Thanks for the reply Stu.

I remember the issue with cannels coming up encrypted, I managed to fix it by upgrading the firware of the floppy.
As I have no issues I'll leave the current cam alone.
