Capacitor 10v 220uF Badly Needed.
Hy all, hope ur all well, can anyone please help Jam out with above Capacitor. Ok here's my problem: Got a evox clone and symptoms are NO SIGNAL on box I know now after doing some test on this that it's DEFFO the cap next to the tuner 10v 220uF thats shagged, snag is I ain't got none in stock, I searched on line and these caps seem rock hard to get (even Maplins can't supply me one), as I stated on some of me threds yer can replace a cap on next value up on psu's BUT on a tuner Cap it has to be exact value' cap or it wont work. This is now where I'M STUCK AT GETIN THIS BOODY THING WORKING DUE TO NOT HAVIN' THIS CAPACITOR. I had a boogie on ebay and they got these caps (10 for £1) but I ain't got a PayPal account so I can't ordrer em. So if anybody can get mi some I'll send yer one of me brilliant home made remote controlll testers or send yer the cost of the caps if yer prefer it this way and a few quid for getting me them. Thanks to all. Jam, aka jambutty, AJ, Alan

Jambutty in a jam but now sorted thanks to you guys.
I'm gonna have a boogie on the site ronster sent me cos that's flippin cheap at 2p a cap, I'm gonna order 50 at this great price. One other thing worth mentioning here is that after medling about on the circuits we me tester it might be a good idea if yer write this tip in yer help files on repairing boxes cos if yer got a box, euro or perhaps a kv (cos these were known to have tuner issues) then on some cases if yer getting a NO SIGNAL and yer deffo sure yer cables are tight and channel dumps is correct then always check the cap next to the tuner cos these can degrade and stop the tuner from getting a signal. Thanks to you all, will let yer know how I get on when I get some. Jam.

Thanks for reply mate but like I mentioned yes yer can go up a value on some caps but on a tuner capacitor they need to be the exact value to work correctly. Jam

The main thing to remember is to fit 105 degree types or it may fail again from the heat radiating from thr 7805 regulator.
