Hi guys and gals.
Right the problem im having is this, ill try to explain as best i can ok. Ive connected everything up with the dm500s, done a scan etc, now i have found all the channels from the provider bskyb, (i know you cannot watch most of them as i know they cant be cracked) but i heard that with the 500s you could get foreign channels but the trouble im having is the only channels im getting is from BskyB i have done a multisat scan etc but its only picking the bskyb channels up so is there something i need to do to get the foreign channels cause as i said i heard that you can get foreign channels or am i wrong?? If it is possible then a small step by step guide would be easier to follow, im not a newbie at this type of stuff butnot a pro either but a really fast learner. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance. |

I think that you will need to move your dish to get a better selection of foreign channels. The link below gives you details of what channels are actually broadcast from the sly satellite position. Click on the astra 28.2 position. This will tell you everything that is broadcast from that position. If you find that the channels you want are not shown then you will need to move your dish.

The foreign channels are transmitted via different satellites, the main being located at 13E, 19.2E and 0.8W.
Do you have a motorised satellite dish or a multi LNB dish. If not, you will only get the channels that are on the satellite that you are pointing at. In your case it seems you are only pointing at the Astra2 group at 28.2E

You are not pointing @ another other satellites other than 28.2, use the SatFinder set it to for example 19.2E and move your dish towards due south until a signal lock occurs. You will then reciever those foreign channels but will be unable to view the bskyb channels if you wish to do so at the same time, so you would have to manually move it or buy yourself a Motorised Satellite dish pick em up prity cheap the starter kits now a days!
